Origin

The idea of the Holos Group emerged in July 2004, during a trip through the Brazilian Pantanal, our planet's larges floodplain and one of its greatest natural treasures. On this occasion a group of students of São Paulo could experience the true Brazilian social and natural reality - the alarming contrast between poverty and beauty, diversity and destruction.

Its existence, however, is the condensation of years of experiences, dreams and hopes, gathered in the everyday lives in a developing country's megalopolis like São Paulo and in many trips through Brazil and the world. These experiences brought the perception and understanding of the consequences of the present problems and awoke the necessity to act in search for solutions.

The idea of the Group grew rapidly, suffering many transformations in the search for ways to fight for its ideals that, opposed to its methods and chosen ways, only grew stronger. The road the Holos Group has chosen to walk has led, and is still leading, to the motivation of a lot of people with great disposition to help. These persons have made the Holos Group reach the point where it is now.
