The Holos Group acts towards a solution for the contemporary social and environmental problems proceeding upon their cause, which is a crisis of values associated to society’s lack of information and education. The term “education” is used here not only in the traditional way, but also in a broader sense expressing also the sensitization and awareness awakening of every individual.

The advanced stage of development reached by our civilization is based on a series of specific values, which brought great benefits, but are now becoming outdated.

The belief in unlimited material growth, the view of nature as man’s property, patriarchate, machismo, egocentrism, the cartesianist view, exclusive racionalism, inconsequent competition, exaggerated expansionism, harsh aggressiveness, racism, the rigid hierarchy and greed are some of these values.

Some of them completely lost their utility, others are still very important, but all of them need to be rethought and placed under a new perspective. Furthermore, the search for new values that are arising is important for a prosperous future.

Cooperation, conservation, intuition, sustainability, comprehension, respect, holism, integration, communication, conscience, partnership, balance, philanthropy, civility, spirituality, ecology, social responsibility… amongst so many others that resist being transformed into words.
